Infant and Early Childhood Education

The purpose of the program is to train infant and early childhood educators who, in terms of their knowledge, abilities and attitudes, are suitable for meeting the physical and psychological needs of children under the age of three, educating them and supporting their development. They have a comprehensive understanding of the system of early childhood education, and are able to perform the tasks of early childhood educators in kindergartens and other institutions educating children under the age of three with the autonomy and responsibility expected based on their professional competence. They are capable of professional innovation, social involvement, continuous renewal and development. 

Special Needs Education

The aim of the program is to train special education teachers who, in possession of up-to-date theoretical and methodological knowledge of special education and its border sciences, also the skills necessary for special education activities, as well as specialist and practical knowledge, provide assistance to children, young people and adults with disabilities and impairment, to develop their skills, correct and compensate for their functional disorders (cognitive, social, somatic, sensory, perceptual), manage and rehabilitate their living difficulties, and organize their environment and social integration. In the chosen specialization, the various disabled and handicapped population groups are professionally assisted, complex special pedagogic development, education, training, habilitation and rehabilitation are carried out.

Kindergarten Education

The aim of the program is to train kindergarten teachers who are suitable for the tasks of kindergarten education, for the education of children aged 3-7, and for practicing the teaching profession.

Lower Primary School Teacher (KS 1-2)

The purpose of the program is to train teachers who - in accordance with the changing social needs and the goals of primary school education - are able to develop the complex personality of pupils and fulfil the entire role of a teacher. They are prepared to carry out educational tasks in all cultural areas in the first four grades of primary school and in a chosen cultural area in the first six grades.
